Why the HCG Diet Isn't the Miracle You Think It Is
Do you think the HCG diet is a miracle? Plenty of other people do, because it works for people who have tried everything without success. Is that magic? Or is it a natural body process that anyone can experience?
A lot of people are calling the HCG diet a "miracle" for weight loss. But that's just one of those overblown marketing claims, right? You've fallen for that kind of hype before. You've tried everything, and nothing has worked for you. You've learned the hard way that there are no miracles when it comes to weight loss.
So why are people calling the HCG diet miraculouseven magical?
Well, the HCG diet does seem miraculous to a lot of people. People just like you, who didn't believe that anything could be this effective. Of course the marketers call it "miraculous" and "magical," but even the people who've tried itregular people like youare using those words, too.
It could be because the HCG diet just feels miraculous. What other diet could allow you to lose 30 pounds in 40 days, or even as much as a pound per day? What other diet could do that without making you hungry? What diet could do all that for someone who has tried every other diet in existence without success?
Despite all that, the HCG diet isn't the miracle you think it is. The "magic" way the HCG diet works isn't really magic at all. The diet wouldn't work without the hormone HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin. That's one of those fancy scientific names that might not mean much to you. So let's just get to the point and talk about what HCG does and why it seems to be the magical key to weight loss we've all been looking for.
But First a Story
Imagine that your sister, or your friend, or your wife, is pregnant. She's in her first trimestera critical time for the pregnancy. And she's puking her guts out every morning because the morning sickness is so bad. In fact, she's throwing up all day long (you know morning sickness doesn't happen just in the morning, right?). If she weren't pregnant, you'd be wondering if she's even getting enough food to survive. But she is pregnant, so now you're wondering about the baby. Your mom-to-be is supposed to be eating for two, and she can't even eat for one.
And yet the baby's just fine. Mom feels as sick as a dog, but the baby continues to grow at a rapid pace, and eventually is born as healthy as can be.
How? The answer is HCG.
HCG in Pregnancy
HCG is a type of hormone produced naturally during pregnancy. As soon as the egg implants and the embryo begins to develop, it starts producing HCG. This is one of the first detectable signs of pregnancy. HCG levels roughly double every day of the pregnancy. After about a week and a half, HCG levels are detectable by a standard home pregnancy test.
HCG has several important functions during pregnancy, and without it the mother could never bring the pregnancy to full term. One of the things HCG does is to regulate what Dr. ATW Simeons called "control centers" in the brain. Located within the hypothalamus, these control centers have command over many of our bodies' most basic functions. One of the brain's control centers tells the body how to distribute its fat stores. Because of this, Dr. Simeons called it the Fat Bank. It holds the keys to the body's stored fat deposits and tells the body which fat stores it can and can't use.
That's why your sister, friend, or wife managed to bring her pregnancy to full term even though she wasn't keeping any food down. HCG guarantees that the baby always has enough food even if the mother isn't getting enough nutrition. HCG releases the mother's stored fat to feed the growing baby.
The HCG Diet and Obesity
So what does this have to do with weight loss, and how can it help those who can't seem to lose weight despite all the dieting? The problem overweight people have is that the Fat Bank has gotten out of balance. This imbalance in the Fat Bank is what we call obesity. Essentially, the Fat Bank has started telling the body to lock away as much fat as possible, and it refuses to unlock anything except in extreme circumstances like starvation. So fat starts to build up in abnormal fixed deposits in the belly, hips, thighs, and so on.
But when HCG weight loss drops enter the system and start knocking all the brain's control centers back into shape, it rebalances the Fat Bank and causes all those stored fat deposits to become unlocked and available for use once again. When you eat a reduced calorie diet with HCG drops in your system, your body can burn your stored fat for energy.
Is that a miracle?
The True HCG Diet Miracle
Mothers-to-be have been graced naturally with the gift of HCG, but it works the same if you take oral HCG drops outside of pregnancy. It simply balances your Fat Bank and releases your stored fat deposits. If you then reduce your calorie intake, those fat deposits are available for your body to use as fuel, and they start burning away. You always have enough fuel even if you're eating only 500 calories per day.
This is the reason behind the famous lack of hunger for people who are on the HCG diet. Why would your stomach complain of hunger when your body doesn't need any extra nutrition?
So is the HCG diet really a miracle? Is it miraculous that a single hormone can be responsible for the survival of human babies in the womb? Is it miraculous that the same hormone can help you lose weight like nothing else can?
I guess the answer is . . . why don't you try the HCG diet for yourself and find out? Thousands of others have done the HCG diet and experienced their own personal weight loss miraclemaybe you can experience it too.
